Vermont Goes Legal on July 1, 2017. Are you ready?

On January 22, 2018 Governor Scott Signed a bill legalizing recreational cannabis.

In historic fashion, Vermont was the first state to legalize through its legislature, rather than a citizen-backed initiative. (We don't have those.) Limited legalization goes into effect on July 1st, 2018, and allows many Vermonters the ability to cultivate their own cannabis.

The current language of the bill can be found here, but rest assured- a full tax and regulate scheme is already in the works. The state has convened a Marijuana Commission, and according to internal documents, licensed retail establishments will be in place by July 2019. Looks like they've got a lot of work to do....

So why the update, now?

With the transition to a legal market, Greener Mountain Consulting's focus will broaden, and we will be able to actively help more Vermonters cultivate, than ever before. This is an opportunity we are looking forward to, and are poised to capitalize on. Our services will be focused in the Upper Valley area, but we have a growing number of partner cultivators throughout the state.

Whether you're a complete novice, or an accomplished grower looking for genetics that will survive Vermont's harshest harvest season, Greener Mountain Consulting will have you covered.

We will begin accepting cultivation consultation bookings shortly, for all interested outdoor cultivators. Consultations will begin in the second week of July.
